The College Dropout, Kanye's breakthrough album. For five years he was told he was "just a producer" and that "he couldn't rap". But he kept going and ended up with one of the most critically acclaimed albums of all time. We've all had people tell us we can't do something or it's not going to work out and at that point it's how much we're willing to dig in. To me that's what this album is about. Knocking down the door when no-one was giving you a key.
What can I say! I took an idea from my head to 100 news anchors and radio hosts talking about it worldwide. I started it cause I saw a really shitty Trump dating site go viral and I just thought I can copy that and do it better. That's always been my best ability. Stealing something, reworking it and coming up with something better.
I can't listen to music when I code. Only when using Sketch to design. But it helps with focus and inspiration. I'm into the process behind an album, like an artist going into the zone for 4/5 months, digging in and coming up with the best they've got. It's the same with shipping, you go to "album mode" just totally focused, crunching it.
There are no adults. Everyone is making it up as they go along. So figure it out yourself and do it.Like or Retweet Episode
